Prime contract awards reported to FPDS-NG and published through USAspending.gov, covering the obligations federal agencies actually recorded against contracts. Each award is keyed to a unique award identifier and rolls up its base action plus every subsequent modification, so the value shown reflects the current obligated total rather than a single transaction. Filter by awarding agency and sub-tier office, NAICS industry, product or service code, place of performance, set-aside program, or fiscal year to size a market and identify who holds the work. Award records are the counterpart to opportunity notices: notices tell you what an agency intends to buy, awards tell you what it bought, from whom, and for how much. Use them to establish incumbency, estimate realistic price points, and find recompetes as periods of performance approach expiry, which is when an incumbent is most exposed to a well-prepared challenger.
