Description of requirement
IGF::OT::IGF THE GROUND COMBAT SYSTEMS DIVISION (GCSD) OF THE NIGHT VISION&ELECTRONIC SENSORS DIRECTORATE (NVESD) HAS A REQUIREMENT FOR ANALYSIS, MANAGEMENT, MAINTENANCE, AND DEMONSTRATION SUPPORT OF ITS EFFORTS TO IDENTIFY, EVALUATE, AND DEVELOP SENSOR SYSTEMS TO MAINTAIN SITUATIONAL AWARENESS, OPTIMIZE ENEMY DETECTION, RECOGNITION, AND IDENTIFICATION, AND IMPROVE NON-VERBAL COMMUNICATIONS BETWEEN SOLDIERS AND SOLDIERS/VEHICLES. THE GCSD IS REQUIRED TO CONDUCT MISSION RELATED RESEARCH, DEVELOPMENT, TEST, AND EVALUATION (RDT&E) OF MANNED VEHICLE SENSOR SYSTEMS AND MAN-PORTABLE SENSOR SYSTEMS. THE GCSD IS ALSO SUPPORTING CUSTOMER ENGINEERING AND MANAGEMENT, IN THE AREA OF PERSONNEL, EQUIPMENT, AND FACILITIES, TO PROVIDE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT AND ANALYSIS OF NUMEROUS BRANCH AND CUSTOMER INITIATIVES. THIS TASK ORDER IS ISSUED IN ACCORDANCE WITH TERMS AND CONDITION UNDER IDIQ CONTRACT W909MY-12-D-0008.
