IGF::CT::IGF TAS::89 0321:TAS THE PURPOSE OF REQUISITION 13EE000754 IS TO AWARD CALL 9 (DE-SOL-0005061) UNDER THE BPA PILOT PROGRAM (DE-SOL-0003507) IN SUPPORT OF THE DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY, OFFICE OF ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND RENEWABLE ENERGY (EERE), HOME ENERGY SCORE (HES) PROGRAM. THE DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY (DOE) HAS DEVELOPED THE HES, A PROGRAM SIMILAR TO A VEHICLE'S MILE-PER-GALLON RATING THAT HELPS HOMEOWNERS UNDERSTAND THE ENERGY PERFORMANCE OF THEIR HOMES AND HOW THEY COMPARE TO OTHER HOMES NATIONWIDE. THE HES ALSO PROVIDES HOMEOWNERS WITH RECOMMENDATIONS FOR ENERGY UPGRADES AS WELL AS AN ESTIMATE OF HOW THESE IMPROVEMENTS CAN REDUCE UTILITY BILLS AND IMPROVE THEIR SCORE. ENERGY PROFESSIONALS AND ORGANIZATIONS CAN USE THE HES TO PROMOTE ENERGY EFFICIENCY TO HOMEOWNERS AND ENCOURAGE INVESTMENTS IN ENERGY IMPROVEMENTS.
