Description of requirement

A SINGLE STATION PASSIVE SEISMIC MEASUREMENT SYSTEM WHICH WILL MEASURE SEISMIC RESONANCE FREQUENCIES OF THE EARTH, WITH THE CAPACITY FOR ACTIVE MULTICHANNEL SEISMIC SURVEYS. THE INSTRUMENT MUST BE SMALL (1 FT^3) AND LIGHTWEIGHT FOR EASY FIELD ACQUISITION. IT MUST BE AN ALL IN ONE DIGITAL RECORDER WITH AT LEAST 3 GB OF STORAGE AND RUN OFF SMALL LIGHTWEIGHT BATTERIES. FOR PROPER PASSIVE SEISMIC MEASUREMENTS IT MUST MEASURE 3 SEISMIC CHANNELS WITH SAMPLING FREQUENCIES OF 256, 512, AND 1024 HZ ON EACH CHANNEL. IT MUST HAVE A BUILT IN GPS FOR LOCATION AND RUGGED FOR FIELD USE. IT MUST STORE THE DATA DIGITALLY AND HAVE A MEANS TO DOWNLOAD THE DATA. SOFTWARE MUST BE INCLUDED TO ANALYZE THE DATA.
