Description of requirement

IGF::OT::IGF THE ENTOMOLOGICAL SOCIETY OF AMERICA WILL PROVIDE ASSISTANCE WITH THE DEVELOPMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF A LIST OF INVERTEBRATE PESTS FOR USE AS PART OF THE SMARTLABEL PROJECT. SMARTLABEL IS A FORMAT FOR ENTERING AND SUBMITTING ELECTRONIC LABELS THAT ALSO COLLECTS METADATA ABOUT THOSE LABELS TO MAKE SEARCHING AND ORGANIZING LABELS EASIER. WHEN A REGISTRANT ENTERS A NEW PRODUCT LABEL, THEY WILL CHOOSE THE PESTS AGAINST WHICH THEIR PRODUCT IS EFFECTIVE FROM A PREDETERMINED LIST OF PESTS. ESA HAS THE EXPERTISE TO VALIDATE THE LISTS OF PESTS FOR OPP. OPP WOULD LIKE ESA TO REVIEW AND COMMENT ON THE INVERTEBRATE PEST LIST TO ENSURE THAT THE DEFINITIONS OF EACH PEST AND PEST GROUP ARE CORRECT AND CURRENT. THIS PROJECT IS IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE SMARTLABEL CONTRACT ALREADY IN PLACE. THIS INFORMATION IS NEEDED IN ORDER FOR THE SMARTLABEL CONTRACT TO PROCEED.
