Description of requirement

THE FAS INFOSEC PROGRAM ENSURES THE PROTECTION OF FAS SENSITIVE AND/OR MISSION CRITICAL SYSTEMS. UNDER THIS SOW, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE INFOSEC CERTIFICATION SUPPORT AS THE 3RD PARTY CERTIFICATION AGENT TO THE FAS INFOSEC DIRECTOR, WHO ACTS AS THE CERTIFICATION AUTHORITY WITHIN THE FAS OFFICE OF THE CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER (CIO). THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE INFOSEC CERTIFICATION SERVICES IN ACCORDANCE WITH GSA POLICIES AND GUIDELINES, WHICH ARE DERIVED FROM NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF STANDARDS & TECHNOLOGY (NIST) STANDARDS AND GUIDELINES.
