TSA/CLE HUB IS RUNNING TESTS OF A CONCEPT MOBILE COORDINATION CENTER FOR USE IN MULTI-MODAL SECURITY OPERATIONS, TO INCLUDE NORTHERN BORDER INITIATIVE (NBI) WITH DHS PARTNER AGENCIES ON THE GREAT LAKES (A DHS STRATEGIC GOAL), VIPR OPERATIONS, SERE DESIGNATED EVENTS, PLAYBOOK, ALONG WITH OTHER OPERATIONAL UTILIZATIONS ENSURING THE INTEGRITY OF INCIDENT MANAGEMENT WITHIN A UNIFIED COMMAND STRUCTURE FEEDING %U201CREAL TIME%U201D VIDEO TO INCIDENT COMMANDERS AND DECISION MAKERS. PART OF THIS CONCEPT INCLUDES THE ABILITY TO REMOTELY MONITOR OPERATIONS OR INCIDENTS VIA A MOBILE VIDEO CAMERA SYSTEM, MOUNTED TO A TELESCOPING MAST WHICH IS ATTACHED TO THE TRAILER HITCH OF A VEHICLE. THE WHOLE APPARATUS MUST BE EASILY MANAGED BY ONLY TWO MEN AT A TIME, FROM ATTACHING THE MAST TO THE TRAILER HITCH TO OPERATING THE MAST AND CAMERA IN INCLEMENT WEATHER OR ON UNEVEN SURFACES.
