Description of requirement

THE ADVANCED RADIOISOTOPE GENERATOR IS BEING DEVELOPED TO A SET OF REQUIREMENTS THAT ORIGINATE FROM A RANGE OF POTENTIAL FUTURE MISSIONS. A RANGE OF TECHNOLOGIES MUST BE DEVELOPED AND EVALUATED TO MEET THE GENERATOR REQUIREMENTS. TO SUPPORT THIS ACTIVITY, GRC HAS ESTABLISHED A RANGE OF STIRLING TEST FACILITIES, ONE OF WHICH IS A LABORATORY FOR PERFORMANCE TESTING OF CONVERTORS. THE SCOPE OF WORK TO BE PERFORMED IN THIS TASK INCLUDES THE ANALYSIS, DESIGN, AND TESTING OF ADVANCED STIRLING TECHNOLOGIES. COMPREHENSIVE REPORTS COVERING THOSE ACTIVITIES ARE ESSENTIAL TO NASA, THEREFORE, REPORTS AND OTHER DOCUMENTATION DELIVERED TO NASA SHALL PROVIDE A CLEAR UNDERSTANDING OF THE PROCESS UNDERTAKEN TO PRODUCE THE RESULTS REPORTED, LESSONS LEARNED DURING THAT PROCESS AND AN EXPLANATION OF THE RESULTS. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FURNISH ENGINEERING SUPPORT TO PERFORM THE FOLLOWING WORK ELEMENTS AT THE NASA GLENN RESEARCH CENTER.
