Description of requirement

THE PURPOSE OF THE ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION (ADR) PROGRAM IS TO PROVIDE EMPLOYEES AND MANAGERS OF PACIFIC SOUTHWEST REGION AND PACIFIC SOUTHWEST RESEARCH STATION AN OPPORTUNITY TO USE A MORE INFORMAL METHOD OF RESOLVING WORKPLACE CONFLICTS. THE OBJECTIVES OF ADR ARE TO: 1. CREATE A VOLUTARY, COLLABORATIVE PROCESS THAT INVOLVES AND ASSISTS EMPLOYEES IN RESOLUTION OF DISPUTES. 2. PROVIDE AN ENVIRONMENT THAT FACILITATES OPEN COMMUNICATION. 3. ENSURE THAT CONFLICT RESOLUTION SKILLS ARE TRANSFERRED TO EMPLOYEES/MANAGERS PARTICIPATING IN THE RESOLUTION PROCESS. THE ADR PROGRAM PROVIDES MEDIATION RESOURCE FOR NON-EEO WORKPLACE DISPUTES, FORMAL DISCRIMINATION COMPLAINTS, AND INFORMAL DISCRIMMINATION COMPLAINTS AS PRECRIBED BY THE EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY COMMISSION.
