Description of requirement

IGF::OT::IGF DOE TRANSPORTATION TRACKING AND COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM SUPPORT (TRANSCOM) SERVICES. THE DOE TRANSCOM CONTRACTOR CONTINUOUSLY MONITORS AND TRACKS ACTIVE SHIPMENTS OF DEFENSE RELATED SPENT NUCLEAR FUEL, RADIOACTIVE/NON-RADIOACTIVE, HAZARDOUS, AND TRANSURANIC (TRU) WASTE TO AND FROM DOE FACILITIES. THE SELECTED CONTRACTOR WILL PERFORM ALL TRANSCOM MONITORING AND TRACKING FUNCTIONS AND WILL MANAGE THE TRANSCOM COMMUNICATION CENTER (TCC) LOCATED IN CARLSBAD, NEW MEXICO. SERVICES INCLUDE WASTE TRACKING, MONITORING, AND COMMUNICATION UTILIZING DATA TRANSPONDERS, SATELLITE, TERRESTRIAL TOOLS AND REAL-TIME POSITIONING. SERVICES WILL ALSO INCLUDE TRANSCOM SYSTEM DESIGN CHANGES AND UPGRADES.
