Description of requirement

FABRICATION OF PHOTOLITHOGRAPHIC MASTERS. THE VENDOR WILL SUPPLY PHOTOLITHOGRAPHIC MASKS ON AN AS-NEEDED BASIS USING THE COMPUTER GENERATED DESIGN FILES PROVIDED BY GSFC. THE GSFC HAS A REQUIREMENT FOR PHOTOLITHOGRAPHIC MASKS TO BE USED AS TOOLING FOR THE IN-HOUSE FABRICATION OF DETECTOR SYSTEMS DEVICES. THESE MASKS, OR PLATES, ARE 5 X5 OR 7 X7 QUARTZ WITH CHROMIUM GOLD PATTERNS ETCHED ON ONE SIDE OF THE PLATE. THE PATTERN IS PRODUCED BY THE VENDOR USING COMPUTER GENERATED DESIGN FILES SUPPLIED BY GSFC. EACH MASK HAS A UNIQUE DESIGN, AND SEVERAL MASKS (IN THE RANGE OF 4-14 MASKS) ARE REQUIRED TO MAKE UP A SET FOR THE PRODUCTION OF A DETECTOR DEVICE. THESE MASKS ARE REQUIRED TO SUPPORT MULTIPLE PROJECTS. THE PHOTOLITHOGRAPHIC MASKS SHALL BE 100% COMPATIBLE WITH PREVIOUSLY PRODUCED HIGH RESOLUTION MASKS.
