Description of requirement

THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE TOOLING AND TOOL MATERIALS TO BE USED IN THE EXPLOSIVE BONDING PROCESS. THIS INCLUDES INDUSTRIAL AND MATERIAL SUPPLIES TO BE USED FOR METALWORKING AND MANUFACTURING. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE MATERIALS TO BE USED AS DONOR TUBES FOR THE CLADDING PROCESS AS WELL AS TOOLING USED FOR CUTTING TOOLS IN THE MACHINING OF EXPLOSIVE BONDING COATINGS. THE DONOR TUBE MATERIALS INCLUDE TANTALUM AND TANTALUM/ TUNGSTEN TUBES THAT ARE USED IN THE CLADDING OF MEDIUM AND LARGE CALIBER GUN BARRELS. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE CUTTING TOOLS, BROACHES, AND TWO-POINT CUTTERS THAT WORK WELL WITH TANTALUM AND TANTALUM REFRACTORY METALS.
