This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Eastern Business Service Center (EBSC) is issuing 1232SC18Q0003 as a Request for quotations and incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through FAC 2005-95 and is being conducted according to FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The Foreign Animal Disease Research Unit (FADRU) anticipates the need for a maximum of _3015_ Pigs over a period of 5 years for conducting research. The award will be for the period starting approximately May 1, 2018 through April 31, 2023 for an IDIQ fixed price type contract. This procurement is set aside for small business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 424520; small business size standard is 100 employees. QUOTED PRICE MUST INCLUDE any freight or shipping, as well as any applicable duties, brokerage, or customs fees. Delivery to: USDA-ARS-NCAH, Ames, Iowa. EVALUATION & AWARD FACTORS-The contract resulting from this solicitation will be awarded to the responsible party whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, is determined a best value to the government.
