Limited Source Justification under FAR 8.405-6 for Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Critical UPS & Battery Equipment Support (CUBES) Maintenance

This is a maintenance repair and replacement requirement for Uninteruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems and the associated stored energy systems (Battery Monitoring Systems (BMS) and Batteries) as applicable which provide backup to the commercial utility power system, allowing mission-critical Information Technology (IT) systems to continue Data Center Operations without interuruption in a contingency situation. The only time that new equipment is purchased on this requirement is when the equipment can't be repaired or fixed. This is a very rare occurence and it is possible that none of the covered equipment will ever be irreparable during the performance period of this requirement.
