Pilot Services (Personal Service) The intent of this solicitation and any resultant contract is to obtain personal services of a pilot under an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Personal Service contract. The pilot will be required to fly Government-owned aircraft as the DC3TP Pilot-in-Command (PIC) and Smokejumper mission Captain. Aircraft may be used in air tactical, smokejumper, or administrative missions. Aircraft to be piloted include, but are not limited to DC-3TP, C23A and Cessna 206. The pilots are required to be FAA licensed and carded by the Forest Service for the missions. Part of the work performed under this contract is a part of the national firefighting resources. The required availability period is expected to be at the designated base which is the Aerial Fire Depot at Missoula, MT, Region 1. However, services may be required at another base, or at times other than the required availability period. The contract period of performance will be for one base year with two renewable one year option periods. The solicitation will be issued on or about March 29, 2013.
