Mountain Pine Beetle Spraying IDIQ

Amendment 001 is issued to revise the Priced Line Items and Specifications for the Medicine Bow Routt District. Solicitation No. AG-82X9-S-11-0029, Preventive Tree Spraying for the Mountain Pine Beetle. The Forest Service (FS) has recognized the need to maintain live conifer species that are susceptible to bark beetle infestation. It has been determined by entomologists that the application of Carbaryl to lodgepole, ponderosa, and limber pine trees and Engelmann Spruce is the most effective method in preventing tree mortality by bark beetles. Area of coverage will be the Clear Creek, Boulder, Canyon Lakes, Sulphur Ranger, and the Medicine Bow Routt Districts. The Statement of Work for this requirement is: The Contractors shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, plant, and supervision necessary to spray trees in strict accordance with the solicitation requirements to prevent the Pine Beetle infestation of the national forests. This solicitation will result in multiple award contracts, for specific geographical regions, with the issuance of individual task orders for project specific areas of work.
