Regulated and Non-regulated Laundry Cleaning Services,

The Department of Energy, Richland Operations Office (DOE-RL), has a need for regulated and non-regulated laundry cleaning services, respirator cleaning services and transportation in support of these services. The required capabilities include radioactive monitoring programs for the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); i.e. respirator masks, clothing. The monitoring programs are Monitor Program 1, beta gamma monitoring only, Monitor Program 2, alpha monitoring only, Monitor Program 3, both alpha and beta gamma monitoring. The Contractor shall maintain operational backup monitoring equipment to maintain these program requirements. The contractor shall be responsible for transporting PPE to and from 18-closed loop systems (CLS), (using groups with separate equipment on site). Weekly pickup and delivery is needed at each CLS for all except 1 location: the CLS Tank Farms East which requires two pick-ups and deliveries each week. The contractor is responsible for transportation and shall pickup and deliver PPE shipments between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. local time. One-week advance notice of any changes to pickup and delivery points or the schedule of a pickup and delivery will be provided to the contractor.
