Packing & Crating Area I Schedule I, II

This notice serves to announce the 81st Contracting Squadron intends to award a sole source contract for the Area I, Schedules I & II of the Packing, Containerization, and Local Drayage of Direct Procurement Method (DPM) Personal Property Shipments for Keesler Air Force Base, MS. The proposed contract action is for a service for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is based upon responses to the Sources Sought Announcement, issued on 15 Aug 2017, titled Packing & Crating with Solicitation # FA3010Packing_Crating. The approved Justification and Approval (J&A) for Other Than Full and Open Competition is attached to this notice. The applicable NAICS code for this acquisition is 488991 (Packing and Crating) and the size standard is $27.5M. This acquisition will be solicited as a commercial item using FAR 12 procedures. The Government anticipates the award of a firm-fixed price requirements contract as a result of soliciting and negotiating with only one source. The period of performance for this requirement is estimated to be 1 January 2018 to 31 December 2022, for a total performance period not to exceed 66 months.
