Packing & Crating Area IV, V Sch I, II, III

This notice serves to announce the 81st Contracting Squadron intends to award a sole source contract for the Area IV and V, Schedules I, II, and III of the Packing, Containerization, and Local Drayage of Direct Procurement Method (DPM) Personal Property Shipments for Keesler Air Force Base, MS. The proposed contract action is for a service for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is based upon responses to the Sources Sought Announcement, issued on 15 Aug 2017, titled Packing & Crating with Solicitation # FA3010Packing_Crating. The approved Justification and Approval (J&A) for Other Than Full and Open Competition is attached to this notice. The applicable NAICS code for this acquisition is 488991 (Packing and Crating) and the size standard is $27.5M. This acquisition will be solicited as a commercial item using FAR 12 procedures. The Government anticipates the award of a firm-fixed price requirements contract as a result of soliciting and negotiating with only one source. The period of performance for this requirement is estimated to be 1 January 2018 to 31 December 2022, for a total performance period not to exceed 66 months.
