PRE-SOLICITATION / SYNOPSIS: THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. The purpose of this synopsis is to notify potential offerors of the Department of Interior, Bureau of Indian Education (BIE's) intent to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) through General Services Administration (GSA), under RFQ No. RFQ632391. THIS PROCUREMENT DOES NOT HAVE A SET-ASIDE RESTRICTION. BIE is seeking to establish a contract for Propane Purchase & Delivery Services to BIE schools throughout three (3) Arizona locations. Propane will be purchased "As Needed". BIE is seeking quotes from GSA contract holders in Category 73: FOOD SERVICE, HOSPITALITY, CLEANING EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES, CHEMICALS AND SERVICES, under Category 655 01 DESCRIPTION: Propane. It is the Government's intent to award a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) Contract from this solicitation. The RFQ for this procurement is anticipated to be released on or about October 19, 2011 with an award anticipated on November 1, 2011. The closing response date will be on October 27, 2011, 07:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. This procurement will be conducted under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items. The contract award will be made using a best value approach, with price and past performance being of equal value.
