42 -- ERV AMBULANCE TRUCK BODY

UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries intends to negotiate a sole source agreement with Cargo Body, Inc. located at 1209 S. Union St., Rock Rapids, IA. 51246 for Definite Delivery Definite Quantity Contract for four ERV Ambulance Cargobody Slip-Ins. These ERV Ambulances are especially designed and are unique to the needs of the Navy. The above referenced contractor holds the copyright for this item. This is not a request for proposals. Cargo Body, Inc., is deemed the only responsible source capable of providing the required item with justification for other than full and open competition on file. No solicitation documents are available and requests for such will not be acknowledged. The determination not to open competition is solely within the discretion of the Government in accordance with 41 USC (C)(1) would be in the interest of National Defense and FAR Part 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. No telephone inquires will be accepted. It is anticipated that a sole source contract will be awarded as specified in the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Par 13. There will not be a solicitation for this requirement. The award for this requirement will be made not later than October 30, 2007.
