16 -- OH6 Tail Rotor Transmissions

This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice only and not a Solicitation or Request for Proposal document. The RFP package will be available after the closing date of this Pre-Solicitation Notice. Proposals are not being solicited or accepted at this time. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Customs and Border Protection, National Supply and Logistics Center, El Paso, Texas, plans to competitively award a solicitation with an initial performance period of 12-months with two 12-month option periods, which, if exercised could extend the performance to a total of three years, for the exchange of and repair and/or overhaul of Part Number 369A5400-701 OH6 helicopter tail rotor transmissions. All exchange/overhaul/repair are to be performed by a Federal Aviation Administration Certified Repair Station. All items shall be to the latest configuration and standards in accordance with applicable maintenance manuals, service letters, service bulletins, and authorized maintenance center information letters with changes in effect at the time the orders are placed. The fixed price supply with time and materials maintenance contract shall be a Requirements type contract. Prospective Offerors are requested to send name and place of performance address, within 10 days after solicitation issuance, to the Contracting Officer at 915 782-2285 so that wage determinations can be obtained. The solicitation will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration?s Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition including solicitation amendments will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. All offers received will be evaluated for the initial 12-month period plus the two 12-month option periods. A firm due date will be determined when the solicitation is issued on approximately 12/18/07. Note 26.
