Contract Award Notice for HSFEOP-08-C-00006 Area A Power

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Procurement Operations (OPO) is issuing this award notice to announce the successful contractor for RFP HSHQDC-08-R-00070 for the Area A Power Project at the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Mount Weather Emergency Operations Center located in Mount Weather, Virginia. The construction for this project consists of the installation of a new primary electrical site distribution system, the construction of a new generator building, and the installation of four new generators. The construction includes, but is not limited to, building construction, site work, site and building electrical installation, HVAC, plumbing, fuel distribution and fire protection disciplines. DHS awarded a firm-fixed price contract to the following contractor on September 29, 2008: Contract Number: HSFEOP-08-C-00006 The Chappy Corporation 90 Spencer Avenue Chelsea, MA 02150-3087 The contract has a period of performance of Notice to Proceed + 540 calendar days and was awarded for a total amount of $15,479,495.00.
