This is an AWARD NOTICE THAT A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using the simplified acquisition procedures of FAR Part 13 to procure gloves manufactured by Superior Fleece and Leather Corporation in support of Marine Barracks Washington. The Government has awarded a sole source contract for products to the firm of Superior Fleece and Leather Corporation, 122 S. Main St. Gloversville NY 10278. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(1)(2), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed purchase order/contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
