Watercraft Maintenance Stands

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: The Contract Support Management Office (CSMO) at Marine Corps Support Facility Blount Island (MCSF-BI), Jacksonville, FL 32226 hereby gives notice of the intent to award a purchase order to Standard Precast, Inc., 12300 Presidents Court, Jacksonville, FL 32220-3225, (Cage Code: 6YG38) on a sole source basis in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.5, only one source reasonably available and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Navy Support Management Branch (NSMB) at MCSF-BI has a requirement to for maintenance stands that provide support to the Improved Navy Lighterage System (INLS). Market research has revealed this contractor is the only source capable of providing the required items. Therefore, the government intends to procure these supplies on a sole source basis from Standard Precast, Inc., the original manufacturer (OEM). THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which, if received within days (3) calendar days after the date of the publication of this synopsis, will be considered. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
