A--Upcoming Request for Proposals for the AN/SLQ-32X(V) Surface Electronic Wafare Improvement Program Block 2

The purpose of this modification to notice N00024-09-R-5300 is to correct the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS)Code from 541330 to 541712. The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to conduct a full and open competition and release a Request for Proposal (RFP) in February 2009 for the AN/SLQ-32X(V) Surface Electronic Warfare Improvement Program (SEWIP) Block 2 Preliminary Design, System Development and Demonstration, Engineering Services, Field Engineering Services, Long Lead Material for the Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP), LRIP for forward-fit, back-fit and shore-based configurations, provisioned items ordering, technical data package and associated data. AN/SLQ-32X(V) SEWIP Block 2 is a new effort that incorporates limited parts of the architecture of the AN/SLQ-32B(V) SEWIP Block 1 System. AN/SLQ-32X(V) SEWIP Block 2 includes the receiver/antenna group necessary to keep capabilities current with the pace of the threat, and satisfies Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) mitigation and Combat System Interface requirements. All interested parties shall notify the Contracting Officer, Mr. John N. Butto, in writing on company letterhead of its desire to participate in the competition. Scanned copies of the signed letter should be submitted no later than 28 January 2009 via e-mail to the following addresses: John.Butto@Navy.Mil and Mr. Larry Caramia at Lawrence.Caramia@Navy.Mil with the following subject line: "SEWIP Block 2 RFP N00024-09-R-5300 Interest and Security Notification." IMPORTANT: Interested parties must have a facility clearance at least to the secret level in order to obtain classified information (SECRET/NOFORN) that is pertinent to the procurement. The security notification shall include the following information: CAGE Code, the classified mailing address and security point of contact, including the security point of contact's name, phone, e-mail and fax. Prior notification of facility clearance information furnished in reply to N00024-08-R-5372 shall not suffice. This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable.
