Fiber Optic Draw Tower

The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) has the need to purchase a Fiber Optic Draw Tower. The Government is searching for potential sources that are capable of fulfilling the requirement. The updated Salient Characteristics highlighting the minimum specifications, characteristics, capabilities, etc. are attached herein. Any firm that wishes to be considered for this requirement is encouraged to submit a capability statement that demonstrates its ability to perform this type of requirement.

NRL asks that interested parties, at a minimum, supply the following information via email:

2. Business Size/Socioeconomic Categories
3. Unique Entity ID (DUNS) and Cage Code
4. Suggested NAICS and PSC Codes for proposed solution.
5. Does your firm consider this requirement to be a commercial (as defined in FAR 2.101) or noncommercial item/service?

Technical Information

The requested information below is for Market Research purposes only.  NRL asks that interested parties provide as much of the information below as possible:

1. Description/information of items that can meet the attached draft specifications.
2. Any questions/suggestions (including alternate configurations) related to the draft specifications.
3. Estimated delivery schedule, if a requirement is pursued.
4. Estimated quote(s) of the configuration(s) to assist the government in establishing a budget to secure sufficient funding, if a requirement is pursued. 

NOTE: THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. This Request for Information (RFI) is issued for information and planning purposes only. Responses to this RFI are not quotes on which an order will be issued. The Government does not intend to award an order based solely on responses to this RFI. Further, the Government makes no commitment to issue an RFQ in response to this RFI. The Government will not reimburse any costs associated with the development and submission of material in response to this RFI. However, should such a requirement materialize, no basis for claims against NRL shall arise as a result of a response to this RFI or NRL’s use of such information either as part of our evaluation process or in developing specifications or work statements for any subsequent requirement.
