Inertial Measuring Telemetry

The Naval Air Warfare Center - Aircraft Division (NAWC-AD) intends to negotiate and award a sole source contract with Measurement Specialties, Akron, Ohio, 44333-1255 for the support of Inertial Measuring Telemetry, for the Air Vehicle/Stores Compatibility (AVSC) sub-Division of the Manned and Unmanned Air Vehicle Evaluation Division. The proposed contract action will be awarded pursuant to the authority provided in FAR 6.302-1, "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements." Measurement Specialties is the incumbent contractor and is the only source with the requisite knowledge, experience, and technical expertise to continue to provide the required services without causing the Government to incur a substantial duplication of cost and an unacceptable delay in meeting the requirements. The anticipated period of performance is: Base Period: 15 January 2019 through 14 January 2023 THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, responsible interested parties may submit a capability statement in which they identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for any information received. The Government does not intend to use the provisions of FAR Part 12 for this acquisition.
