This is a Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Contract to Center for Public Safety Excellence, Inc.

The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Atlantic intends to award a sole source firm fixed price (FFP), indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract to Center for Public Safety Excellence, Inc., 4501 Singer Ct Ste 180 Chantilly, VA 20151-1734 for the accreditation of Department of Defense (DoD) fire departments. The purpose of this requirement is to fulfill DoD Instruction 6055.06, DoD Fire and Emergency Services (F and ES) Program, which mandates Commission on Fire Accreditation (CFAI) Self-Assessment and Accreditation Program for all DoD Components. This contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, a vendor that believes it that it can meet the requirements herein may give written notice to the Contracting Officer not later than 24 September 2014. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements. A determination by the Government whether or not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Response to this sole source notice is not required.
