Solid Waste Disposal Services

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to make an award to a responsible quoter for the provision of Solid Waste Disposal Services at the Metropolitan Correctional Center (MDC), Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The contract period shall consist of a base period from date of award through 12 months, and four one-year option periods for renewal at the discretion of the government. The Contractor shall provide all equipment, labor, and expertise required for the removal of trash/refuse/recycling. The Contractor shall supply the following dumpsters: 40 yard open top construction dumpster, 40 yard closed top dumpster and a 36 yard self- contained compactor to be placed at varying locations at the facility. The times of day and days of the week for dumpster exchanges will vary based on usage and location. The schedule is tentatively Monday, Wednesday and Friday by 7:00 a.m., for the 36 yard compactor to be dumped, the 40 yard open -top is to be dumped every other week on a Monday (or when called) and the 40 yard closed-top dumpster is to be emptied as needed (approximately once per month). The contractor is responsible for maintaining all equipment and for all dumping and landfill tipping fees. The solicitation will be made available on or about November 17, 2014, and will be distributed solely through the Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fbo.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. The date for receipt of offers is on/about December 5, 2014; however, this is a projected estimate and offerors should refer to Page 1 of the solicitation (Block #8) for the actual date proposals are due. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. This requirement will be solicited as a small business set-aside. All responsible business concerns are encouraged to submit a quote which may be considered.
