SCIENTIFIC MODELING SERVICES

The Optical Technology Div. at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement to expand and improve spectral optical property and radiance temperature scales and perform infrared optical characterization of detectors and material samples. The specific tasks pursuant to this effort are described in the Performance Work Statement included in the solicitation. It is anticipated that the solicitation for this procurement will be issued on or about Oct. 23, 2008, under FAR Part 12, Commercial Item Acquisitions utilizing FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The Government anticipates the award of a fixed price Purchase Order on or about Nov. 14, 2008 with a 12-mo. performance period. The competitive solicitation, all amendments, and any questions and answers related to this procurement will be made available via the internet at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The solicitation will only be available via the internet at the above website. Potential offerors are responsible for accessing the website.
