EMBASSY OF THE UNITED STATES Pretoria, South Africa SYNOPSIS FOR PACKING AND SHIPPING SERVICES Description: (Please note that this solicitation is not ready to be issued as of this date.) The Embassy of the United States in Pretoria, South Africa intends to issue a solicitation for packing, freight handling, forwarding, cargo storage, customs clearance and other related services that apply to shipments originating from, consigned to, routed through, and/or moved within the geographic area(s) of Pretoria, Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town. For each year of the contract, the U.S. Government guarantees a minimum order of 10,000 lbs per annum in total. The maximum amount of shipping/packing services each year of this contract will not exceed 1,950,000 lbs per annum in total. Anticipated performance is for one base year and four option years at the discretion of the US Government. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered. The Government plans to issue the solicitation on or about 27 January 2014. This solicitation will be issued through FedBizOpps - no paper copies will be mailed.
