V--Basic & advance Life Support Ambulance - CBOC Grand Rapids

PRESOLICITATION NOTICE FOR AMBULANCE SERVICE for the Department of Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic, 3019 Coit Avenue, NE, Grand Rapids, MI. The Grand Rapids Outpatient Clinic has a requirement for providing ground ambulance services (Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support Ambulance Service) for eligible beneficiaries. Requirement will include all labor, vehicles and materials, be fully licensed, insured, equipped and staffed to provide Ground Ambulance Services to eligible VA beneficiaries from the Outpatient Clinic, Grand Rapids, MI to surrounding areas. Bidder shall be an established ambulance service provider. All vehicles proposed for use under the contract shall meet the minimum vehicle requirements as mandated by Federal Specifications. Contractor will continuously meet or exceed all Joint Commission standards. It is the VA's intent to solicit offers and award one contract on a competitive basis. The procurement is being made in accordance with FAR Parts 12-Commercial Item and FAR 15-Negotiated Contracts, and will be issued as Unrestricted under NAICS code 621910 with a size standard of 6.5 million. All offerors shall be registered with the CCR database at www.ccr.gov to be considered for an award. The Solicitation will contain requirements for a 12-month base year and three (3) 12-month pre-priced renewal options, for a total of 4 years. It is anticipated the base year will be for the period October 1, 2008, through September 30, 2009. This requirement is subject to the availability of funds. The Solicitation should be available on or before July 11, 2008 at www.fedbizopps.gov under the Department of Veterans Affairs with proposals due approximately July 31, 2008.
