V--Intent to sole source Ground Ambulance services for the Pensacola area

The VA Gulf Coast Veterans Healthcare System, Biloxi, MS, VISN 16, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 (Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements), intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Lifeguard Transportation Services, Inc for ambulance services to eligible beneficiaries for the Joint Ambulatory Care Center (JACC), Pensacola, FL and surrounding VA clinics and contracted facilities in the Florida Panhandle area. NAICS Code 621910 applies and the Size Standard is $7 million. The Period of Performance will be for a base of seven (7) months estimated and two (2) one-year options from the date of contract award. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or a request for offerors. No solicitation package is available at this time. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice (VA-256-09-RP-0047) must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government.
