R--OFFSITE SECURITY STORAGE OF COMPUTERBACK-UP MEDIA SERVICE.

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), specifically the Hines ITC (Information Technology Center), has developed the enclosed solicitation, (RFQ) VA-69D-07-RQ-0473. The purpose of this solicitation is for the contractor shall provide all labor, transportation, equipment, personnel and supervision necessary to perform offsite security storage for approximately 40,000/total magnetic tapes per year, including 3480 type data cartridges and a small number of 8mm data cartridges, 3590 and 9840 type cartridge tapes and DLT/SDLT type cartridges tapes containing computer back-up media for the VA Hines Information Technology Center (ITC), Building 215, Fifth Avenue & Roosevelt Road, Hines, IL 60141 in accordance with the statement of work and the specifications, terms, and conditions listed within this Request for Quotation (RFQ). This is a Firm Fixed Price contract under NACIS 493190, size standard $23.5 Million. Anticipated period of performance is October 1, 2008 through September 30, 2009 with four (4) one-year option renewal periods, at the Government's discretion.
