Q--Dr. Luma - sole source open market contract

This announcement is to provide notification of the Department of Veterans Affairs, Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC), intent to enter into a Contract with Nasa-Tate Luma, M.D. for Hospitalist services for six months effective June 1, 2009 with one possible six month extension. Services required are one full-time Board Certified/Board Eligible physician in Internal Medicine/Family Practice. Services will be provided at the Oscar G. Johnson VA medical center, 325 East H Street, Iron Mountain, MI. This requirement will be awarded on an unrestricted basis. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and should furnish detailed data concerning their capabilities to provide the product. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any contractor that believes they can meet the requirements must provide written notification to the Contracting Officer within five days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received the GLAC will proceed with the intended contract. No solicitation document exists and no telephone inquires will be accepted.
