PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The VA National Acquisition Center intends to issue Request for Proposal (RFP) VA-797-10-RP-0062 for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), and Department of Defense (DOD) to procure Clonidine. The estimated annual usage is as follows: 10,466 bottles of 0.1mg Tablets, 100s; 63,441 bottles of 0.1mg Tablets, 500s; "OR" 31,721 bottles of 0.1mg Tablets, 1000s; 6,854 of 0.2mg Tablets, 100s; 39,735 bottles of 0.2mg Tablets, 500s; "OR" 19,890 bottles of 0.2mg Tablets, 1000s; 54,702 bottles of 0.3mg Tablet, 100s. The estimated annual usage includes VA, DOD, Bureau of Prisons (BOP) and Indian Health Service (IHS). The contract period will be for one year plus four pre-priced option periods. The contract items will be distributed through the VA and DOD's respective Pharmaceutical Prime Vendor(s). Offeror's must state the exact name (name that appears on label) by which the drug will be supplied and have a unique NDC number. Capsules must be compatible with automated dispensing units (Baxter ATC Canisters, Optifil, etc.). If the offeror is not a manufacturer, a signed agreement between the offeror and the manufacturer must be submitted with the offer and remain in effect for the duration of the contract period including the option years. Solicitation No VA-797-10-RP-0062 will be electronically issued in commercial item format in accordance with FAR Part 12 on or about April 20, 2010, with a closing date of May 11, 2010.
