The purpose of this modification is to correct the description of the item to be procured for NSN: 1005-01-433-1617, P/N 12976948. This notice supersede all previous notices. This is not a formal solicitation. Please see below for estimated release date of the official solicitation. The item to procure is a Tripod Mount, M122A1 F/M240B, 7.62MM, Machine Gun. Consist of numerous close tolerance machined parts from various steels and steel forgings for the Sub Assemblies Tripod Assembly, Traverse & Elevating Mechanism and Pintle Assembly. This part has a Phosphate Base and Painted Finish per drawing specifications. Requirements are for a Firm Fixed Price, 5-year Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract, with a Guaranteed Minimum Quantity of 1,000 each and a Maximum Contract Quantity of 50,000 each Tripod Mount, M122A1. FOB is Destination. Estimated issue date is April 10, 2008. There is a Heavy Phosphate Requirement MIL-DTL-16232 (finish series 5.3 of MIL-STD-171). Demilitarization is required. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided.
