16--LOW COST CONTAINERS

The U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command Contracting Center, Natick Contracting Division has a requirement for the manufacture and delivery of Low Cost Containers, NSN 1670-01-523-7246, Part Number 11-1-7031-1, Quantity 6,000 each. The Government anticipates that this acquisition will result in one or more Firm Fixed Price, 5 Year, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Contracts with a Minimum Quantity of 2,000 each and Maximum Quantity of 70,000 each for the combined awards. The North American Industry Classification System, NAICS is 314999. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for Small Businesses. The units will be shipped to, SU Transportation Officer, DDSP, New Cumberland Facility, 2001 Normandy Drive, Door 113-134, New Cumberland, PA 17070-5002. A First Article Test Item is required. Delivery of Production items will be 175 each due within 60 days after approval of First Article Test Report; and 350 each per month after thereafter. The Request for Proposal along with drawings will be posted on the Natick website: https://www3.natick.army.mil and ASFI website: https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/, ON OR ABOUT: March 9, 2009. The closing time and date for this Request for Proposal will be 30 days after release of the Request for Proposal. Firms will not be reimbursed for any costs associated with proposal preparation.
