G--PROVIDE MORTUARY SERVICES AT FORT HOOD TEXAS

Provide mortuary services for Fort Hood, Texas and area of operational responsibility encompassing 175 surrounding counties for handling the care and disposition of remains of authorized personnel. The contractors facility where the remains will be processed shall be located within a 30-mile radius of Fort Hoods Main cantonment area. The contractor shall provide facilities, equipment, licensed personnel, motor vehicles, professional mortuary services, supplies, death certificates, caskets, urns, outer shipping containers, transportation, and perform hygienic practices and any other items and services not government furnished, necessary to perform the Mortuary Service function as defined in the Performance Work Statement. The contractor is required to be familiar with Army Regulation 638-2, Care and Disposition of Remains and Disposition of Personal Effects, Deceased Personnel. The contractor shall comply with the Armed Services requirements and specifications and all federal, state, and local health laws, statutes and regulations in performing the required services. This action will be conducted as a commercial service acquisition in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in conjunction with the policies and procedures for solicitation evaluation and award under FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation. This procurement is 100% set aside for small businesses. The resultant contract will be a Firm Fixed Price requirements contract with a base year beginning 01 April 2010 through 31 March 2011, and four (4) one-year option periods. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this requirement is 812210 and the Small Business Size Standard is $7M. The Government anticipates issuing the Request for Proposal (RFP) on or about 19 February 2010 with a tentative closing date of 19 March 2010. The RFP will be available for downloading at the Army Single Face to Industry website at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi. No paper copies of the solicitation will be mailed and telephone requests will not be honored. Offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR), accessed via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov.
