81--SHIPPING CRATES

A Shipping Crate (set) shall consist of 1 skid and 1 box cover design and dimensions shall be in accordance with attached drawings 32-210EQ-3001, 32-210EQ-3000. Crates shall be constructed using #2 Pine or better solid woods, and 3/4 in. exterior ply wood, and/or other materials as specified. All solid wood must be HEAT TREATED, STAMPED and CERTIFIED for use in OVERSEAS shipments IAW drawing requirements. Metal reinforcement brackets shall be installed on all four external side edges, at the top and bo ttom. Pre-Production samples of 1 set will be applicable. Strict delivery compliance is required. Two (2)End Items (M12A1, & M17A3 are applicable. Therefore,the preceding description is not all inclusive. Best Value Evaluation is applicable. This is a 10 0% Small Business Set-Aside. See Numbered Note #1. Best Estimated Quantity- Up to 500 per year. Option Years -- four (4). All responsible small business sources will be considered by the Contracting Officer.
