SPECIAL NOTICE INDUSTRY DAY FOR GENERATOR STEP-UP (GSU) TRANSFORMER INSTALL AT FORT RANDALL DAM, SD On 27 April 2020, from 10:00 11:30 CST, the Government will conduct a VIRTUAL Industry Day for the Ft Randall Generator Step-Up (GSU) Transformer Install project. This notice does not constitute a solicitation. This announcement and the Industry Day event are for planning purposes only. Response to this notice is strictly voluntary. The Government will not reimburse any participating party for costs incurred for participation in or marketing efforts for this event. The intent of this Industry Day is twofold. First, to introduce the Fort Randall GSU Transformer Install project to industry. Second, to allow Industry the opportunity to provide feedback relating to the project specification package. In an effort to protect contractors and Government personnel, this Industry Day will be VIRTUAL and conducted via WebEx and phone in accordance with the instructions below. Project ID / Name: (461738) / Fort Randall GSU Transformer Install Solicitation Number: W9128F20R0057 Bidder Inquiry Key: RYQI76-7RB7P5 ***Bidder Inquiry Key has been updated.*** Project Description: Summary of Work: The work to be completed per this project is the installation of the supplied GSU transformers (one three-phase 13.8 / 115 kV, and three three-phase 13.8 / 230 kV), including modifications to the associated power, control and protection systems to accommodate the new GSUs. The GSU transformer 15kV bus and bus structures will also be redesigned and high voltage takeoff towers replaced to accommodate the single three-phase transformer versus the three single-phase transformer configuration. In addition, appropriate fire protection and oil containment measures will be incorporated in the transformer installation. The Contractor will be required to commence work upon receipt of contract award and complete the work in 985 days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Work will take place over the two (2) outage periods specified in the solicitation. This information is subject to change and the final information will be listed within the solicitation.
