J--Preventive Maintenance and Repair of Fire Suppression Systems for Various Army Installations, Hawaii

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This synopsis is for a commercial acquisition using Commercial Acquisition procedures under FAR Part 12. Contract will be a firm fixed priced requirement type contract. The NAICS code is 561621 with a size standard of $35.5M. This requirement will be posted 100% set-asdie for small business. The contract term anticipated will be base plus four option periods. The aniticipated effective date will be 29 Sep 14. The Contractor shall furnish all management, labor, tools, materials, supplies, equipment, transportation, and other services necessary to inspect, test, and repair installed fixed-fire suppression systems in accordance with (IAW) the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standard and manufacturer's maintenance manuals. Work shall be performed in accordance with the maintenance requirements outlined in the 2008/2009 Editions of NFPA 96, NFPA 17, NFPA 17A and manufacturer's specifications, if available; to ensure reliable and continuous operation. Installed fixed-fire suppression systems are located at Schofield Barracks (SB), Helemano Military Reservation (HMR), Wheeler Army Airfield (WAAF), Aliamanu Military Reservation (AMR), and Fort Shafter (FS) on the Island of Oahu; and Pohakuloa Training Area (PTA) and Kilauea Military Camp (KMC), Island of Hawaii.
