V--Direct Procurement Method (DPM) of Personal Property Shipments

The Mission and Installation Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground DOC, intends to procure Packing, Containerization, and Local Drayage of Direct Procurement Method (DPM) Personal Property Shipments at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD and the surrounding designated areas. Services include but are not limited to preparation, tagging, inventorying, packing, loading, containerization, identification, delivery, unloading, and unpacking of personal property shipments. The contractor shall furnish all plant, labor, materials, equipment and tools necessary to perform a comprehensive packing and crating service at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD and surrounding designated areas. Services include in-bound, outbound, intra city for military moves in strict accordance with the Defense Transportation Regulation (DTR) DoD Regulation 4500.9R, Part IV. http://ww.transcom.mil/j5/pt/dtr_part_iv.cfm. This acquisition will be solicited as an Invitation for Bids (IFB) utilizing FAR Part 14, Sealed Bidding. An Indefinite Delivery Fixed Price Requirements type contract is anticipated, with services to be acquired under individual delivery orders. The contract is for a twelve 12 month base period from 01 January 2009 through 31 December 2009 and four (4) twelve (12) month option periods. This acquisition is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 488991; and, the small business size standard is $23.5 million. The IFB Number W91ZLK-09-B-0001 will be issued on or about 1 November 2008 posted electronically on the Army Single Face to Industry, http://acquisition.army.mil.
