Description of requirement
THIS IS A FIRM-FIXED PRICE REQUIREMENT COMMERCIAL SERVICES CONTRACT TO OBTAIN STORAGE AND DISTRIBUTION SERVICES FOR USDA HOUSEHOLD FEEDING PROGRAMS FOR A 12 MONTH PERIOD AND THE POTENTIAL OF FOUR ONE YEAR OPTION PERIODS, IF EXERCISED. THIS CONTRACT WILL PROVIDE STORAGE AND DISTRIBUTION SERVICES FOR FNS NATIONWIDE PROGRAMS. THE FOOD DISTRIBUTION PROGRAM ON INDIAN RESERVATIONS, THE COMMODITY SUPPLEMENTAL FOOD PROGRAM AND THE EMERGENCY FOOD ASSISTANCE PROGRAM ARE FEDERALLY MANDATED FOOD DISTRIBUTION PROGRAMS. THE CONTRACTOR WILL RECEIVE AND STORE COMMODITIES; ACCEPT AND PROCESS ORDERS FROM THE ELECTRONIC COMMODITY ORDERING SYSTEM AND IS RESPONSIBLE FOR LOGISTICS INCLUDING RATING, ROUTING AND TRANSPORTATION.
