The Contractor goal is to reduce injury rates and to increase the rate of fighter aircrew fully mission capable status. This OHWS program is intended to produce retention on a system-wide basis and is described as prehabilitation. This program will target specific neck and back strength and conditioning training which will best prepare the aircrew. In addition, overall conditioning and health education, designed to bring aircrew to the peak of fitness, will further decrease the incidence and severity of neck and back problems. Further, through a program of data collection, to include objective and subjective information, the program will evolve as needed to ensure all efforts for improving the quality of life for aircrew are flexible and continue to be optimized.
